Frequently asked questions about the dental technologies we use at Magnolia Park Dental

At Magnolia Park Dental, we are proud to provide our patients with the latest advances in dental technology. Rest assured, you will receive only the top-tier and most comfortable treatments available, as our advanced technology plays a key role in delivering the outstanding care we provide! Let’s look closely at the dental technologies we use at our office in Coppell, Texas, to provide quality care!

What is the advanced iTero dental scanner?

In the realm of contemporary dentistry, creating models of patients’ teeth are still crucial to manufacture dental restorations that perfectly fit and look natural. But gone are the days of physical moldings, thanks to digital impressions at the office of Dr. Brady Camp. We employ our state-of-the-art iTero scanner to capture digital impressions of your entire oral cavity, a method more precise than traditional bite molds.

This technology enables us to directly upload measurements into our modeling software, granting immediate access to your oral structure and kick-starting the design process for your veneers, crowns, bridges, Invisalign® clear aligners, or dentures.

What are the benefits of digital X-rays?

Dental X-rays have remained a constant in dentistry for more than a century, and the methods of acquiring them have continually upgraded. Our newest advancement is the digital X-ray. Digital X-rays bring numerous advantages. They are:

  • Quicker. The digital format eliminates the need to send off negatives to a lab or wait for outcomes. We can view the scan results almost instantly.
  • Simpler. As there is no requirement for paper images or film, it spares us physical storage space, and transferring data to other locations merely requires a mouse click. The images can be sent to referring professionals if needed for further evaluation.
  • Safer. They use less radiation yet produce an image as clear and high-quality as conventional film images.

How can intraoral cameras be used to improve my dental visit experience?

Magnolia Park Dental is enhanced with the valuable addition of our quality intraoral cameras. These devices allow us to heighten the details of our dental care and offer us a clearer view of the inner surfaces of your mouth and teeth beyond what the naked eye can provide. These powerful cameras are used to:

  • Detect cavities or infections more accurately
  • Observe hard-to-reach angles
  • Inspect the precise placement of restorations
  • Identify other hidden oral issues
